The Retro Cookbook
I decided to publish this collection of recipes made in the 1960s and 70s, begun when I was a young wife and mother. It has been gathering dust on my shelves all those years, and I began it as a personal project, to hand on to my daughter and grandsons. But as I worked on scanning them, I realised that they are once again coming into their own as we enter a New Age of Austerity. Collected at a time when everything had to be cooked from scratch, and on the most basic equipment, these recipes have great relevance today when so many people are undergoing hard times.
The book is colourful and well laid out. The format is A4, with full colour interior, laminated covers and spiral binding. Because professional colour printing is expensive, these are home printed. I am selling these to raise money for the Methodist Church in Killarney, you can read why on the books's web site. |
