Somewhere back in the late '80s or early '90s I was the proud possessor of a SCHLEMMERTOPF - a German version of the 'Chicken Brick' that was so popular in the '70s. I've still got the recipe book that came with it and, browsing through it, I thought some of the dishes were good enough to pass on. I've recently begun using my slow cooker more and the Schlemmertopf dishes will cook equally well by this method which of course we didn't have in the '70s. I've photocopied it and present it here for your delight.
