Poems of Angelo Gravity

I recently re-acquainted myself with my old friend Andrew Savage, as I knew him in 1985 - in those days I dubbed Andrew 'The Snot Poet' because of his obsession with bodily functions - or was it just to annoy the old dears in the poetry group we both belonged to? Breaking away from the fuddy-duddies, we formed the Padiham Sink Performing Arts Group, and held our inaugural meeting in a jacuzzi, with hilarious consequences as the saying goes. Funny what writing your autobiography does - all sorts of people swim back into consciousness, and you wonder what happened to them. I had not forgotten Andrew (now Andy Savage) over the years - such a funny, unassuming boy, and destined to go far - at least as far as the nearest public lavatory, as I remarked at the time. So, thanks to the miracle of the modern internet, Andy Savage is alive and well and living in Dover - hm, convenient stopoff for cycling on the continent Andy. Anyway, I was pleased, not to say hugely relieved, to find Andy still writing poetry - I always knew he had a rare talent, and posterity has not belied this (what on earth am I drivelling on about?
